Dr. Robert Karsch is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with more than 25 years of experience serving patients throughout Atlanta and the surrounding communities. Specializing in extremity care and sports medicine, Dr. Karsch diagnoses and treats injuries and conditions affecting the shoulder, arm, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, and other joints, as well as fractures and orthopaedic trauma.
Board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Karsch earned his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania and completed his orthopaedic residency at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He is a recipient of the Richard Selznick Award for Outstanding Research in Orthopaedics and has been recognized by his peers as an Atlanta Magazine Top Doctor for 14 consecutive years.
Throughout his career, Dr. Karsch has provided orthopaedic consultation to numerous academic and corporate organizations, including MARTA, Keebler, Waffle House, Marshall, Winn-Dixie, Spelman College, Morehouse College, and several area high schools.
Dr. Karsch provides comprehensive orthopaedic evaluation and treatment for a variety of injuries and conditions. When surgery is appropriate, his procedures include ACL reconstruction, carpal tunnel release, joint replacement, rotator cuff repair, meniscus repair, and arthroscopic surgery of the knee, shoulder, elbow, wrist, and ankle.
With extensive experience in both surgical and nonsurgical orthopaedic care, Dr. Karsch works to identify the appropriate treatment for each patient's individual injury, condition, and recovery needs.
